No matter what she does, no matter what she doesn’t do.

I know she’s mine. And she loves me more than anyone else ever could.

She watches out for me, takes care of me, and nurtures me when even I don’t need her.

She backs me whenever I do anything, and she forgives me a million times.

I owe it to her.

Our relation’s just like any other except for one fact.

We fight, we argue, we laugh, we talk, we abuse, we work together, we cry, we bitch and we appreciate... Just like others…

But we never let go.

I stick to her, and she stands by me all the friggin’ time.

Yeah, we have our share of tiffs where I ask her to keep off, calling her names and telling her she’s just not-good-enough and I’m better off without her. That I don’t need her, and I would manage on my own, thank you very much.

She doesn’t sulk, she doesn’t justify or shout back. She just smiles.

And I say, “Grrr… why don’t you just FO…?!” and walk away.

A couple of days later, I find myself back in her arms.

She doesn’t call me, I don’t ask to be called. It just happens. I turn to her, and she quietly embraces me as if we’d always been that way. With the same smile on her face that I’d seen when I left.

Funny how her smiles appear to mock at times and convey strength on other occasions.

Really, I’m a fool to even judge her intentions.

She’s ALWAYS right.

And the craziest bit is, even if she seems to be wrong, situations modify themselves to prove her right! She can make miracles happen... and you can do nothing to stop what she bids...

Some conspiracy, I tell you. I don’t know how she does it.

Even if I cajole or fight back, she doesn’t do anything that would prove difficult or critical for me, either immediately or in the long run. She’s got a keen eye for detail and she can see far ahead than the most reliable prophet. Even if it means she’ll have to put up with my hatred and sorrow and anger, she still does what is right for me, not just going by what I want.

“Thank you” and “sorry” are words that I sometimes utter, but I know she doesn’t need to hear them. My feelings matter to her, but not at the cost of my well-being. Her dedication and loyalty to me are extraordinary.

Call it faith, call it being stupid.

can’t say our relation is invisible; I can sense it, and so can others who care to look.

It’s beautiful, this thing we have.

I don’t know what I’d do without her.

Really.

And having known her so long, and so well, there’s no way we’re ever gonna part.

Those who don't know anything about JanLokpal Bill. Read it.

The Jan Lokpal Bill is a draft anti-corruption bill drawn up by prominent civil society activists seeking the appointment of a Jan Lokpal, an independent body that would investigate corruption cases, complete the investigation within a year and envisages trial in the case getting over in the next one year.

Anna Hazare, anti-corruption crusader, began a fast-unto-death today, demanding that this bill, drafted by the civil society, be adopted..

Salient features of Jan Lokpal Bill:

1. An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up

2. Like Supreme Court and Election Commission, they will be completely independent of the governments. No minister or bureaucrat will be able to influence their investigations.

3. Cases against corrupt people will not linger on for years anymore: Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years.

4. The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction.

5. How will it help a common citizen: If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant.

6. So, you could approach Lokpal if your ration card or passport or voter card is not being made or if police is not registering your case or any other work is not being done in prescribed time. Lokpal will have to get it done in a month's time. You could also report any case of corruption to Lokpal like ration being siphoned off, poor quality roads been constructed or panchayat funds being siphoned off. Lokpal will have to complete its investigations in a year, trial will be over in next one year and the guilty will go to jail within two years.

7. But won't the government appoint corrupt and weak people as Lokpal members? That won't be possible because its members will be selected by judges, citizens and constitutional authorities and not by politicians, through a completely transparent and participatory process.

8. What if some officer in Lokpal becomes corrupt? The entire functioning of Lokpal/ Lokayukta will be completely transparent. Any complaint against any officer of Lokpal shall be investigated and the officer dismissed within two months.

9. What will happen to existing anti-corruption agencies? CVC, departmental vigilance and anti-corruption branch of CBI will be merged into Lokpal. Lokpal will have complete powers and machinery to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.

10. It will be the duty of the Lokpal to provide protection to those who are being victimized for raising their voice against corruption.

2010 's coming to an end,Though there's still a day left but its all about 2011 now.

I wasn't able to post anything this month,quite busy actually these days,so APOLOGIES to those who opened my blog & were disappointed not to see a new post..hmmmmm

wooooo... its raining outside continuously since 10hours.. Chilling here. Sipping a cup of milk & enjoying gajrela(gajar ka halwa) makes my mood of writing this last post of 2010 & first of December 2010

The year 2010 was outrageously adventurous for me.. in positive & negative both the ways ..full of UPS & DOWNS.. It was actually as versatile as Sonu Nigam's Singing hehe, no am serious.. Now when i think about the whole year, i get goosebumps damn freaking times i had...experiences of lifetime. Well , i ll not exactly share the experiences but will try to portrait them in a different form.

COGNITIVE DISSONANCE - The Month January was full of tensions. Semester 5 Final Egg-jams, Jammu Going(HOLIDAYS) & the disappointment of Kailash Kher's Contest(cursing my luck) were the main HIGHLIGHTS(lol) of that month. MELODIC LINE- Started off with the new semester new subjects new teachers & new stage. Ya I went to Thappar University for fest & the result turnd out to b in my favour, It was a nice,very Happening Month for me :)

Yesss, I love camera, love clicking, love taking shots, beauty, nature. I love to shoot , direct, click, edit, but since i have no background in all these hence am immature in this field too. I have a desire of making FILMS. Yes i wanna be a director too. Anyways thats too much for now, Let me concentrate on my B.Tech right now,which i've all screwed up :P

Jinhe naaz hai, hind par woh kahan hai..

First of all I am really sorry that i am writing about a song today,which actually got released 2 years back..shame on me..But actually the thing is , meko ye gana sune sirf 2 hours hue hain & am still listening to it & typing...(jinhe naaz ha hind na nan an na na an...sumthin sumthin...)neways ya///so where was I..hmmmmm, u know guys In an age of remixes, disastrous lyrics, and more focus on visual content than literature, we hardly get any good music into our years.. & even coke studio's Season 3's over LOL...so here’s a pleasant change.

I came across one of the tracks, “Bilqis: Jinhe naaz hai hind par” and after watching the video, this song really deserves a tribute.

Rabbi tells the story of 4 unsung heroes of India in a remarkable manner that makes one think and moves you to tears. When heard for the 1st time, the lyrics of the song are hard to catch, but when understood, you’ll really love the song.

The icing on the cake is the strumming of the National Anthem tune between the verses, which serves as the perfect melody between the thought provoking verses.

The 1st martyr Rabbi tells about is Bilqis Bano.
Bilkis Bano is one of the victims of the riots which followed the Godhra train massacre. On March 3 (or February 28), 2002, she was gangraped in Dahod district of Gujarat when she was pregnant. She also lost 14 relatives including her 3-year-old child, mother and 2 sisters. She is the sole witness to this incident. The case was handled by the CBI, and was transferred to Mumbai court on the orders of the Supreme Court. 20 people have been accused in the case.

Then Rabbi speaks of Satyendra Dubey.
Satyendra Kumar Dubey (1973 – 2003) was project director at the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). He was assassinated in Gaya, Bihar for fighting corruption in the Golden Quadrilateral highway construction project.

Then,
Shanmugam Manjunath (1978 Kolar-2005) was a marketing manager for the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) who was murdered for sealing a corrupt petrol station in UP. Who later became a rallying cry for IIM, IIT and other institutes students. While working for the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in Lucknow, he had ordered two petrol pumps at Lakhimpur Kheri sealed for selling adulterated fuel for three months. When the pump started operating again a month later, Manjunath decided to conduct a surprise raid around November 19, 2005.

Having not heard from his son for three days, at around 9 that night, his father, M Shanmughan, had sent an SMS: “How are you?”. There was no reply because that very night, during his inspection, Manjunath had been shot dead. His body, riddled with at least six bullets, was found in the backseat of his own car, which was being driven by two employees of the petrol pump. Both were arrested and the main accused, pump-owner Pawan Kumar (‘Monu’) Mittal, was held on November 23 along with seven others.

And the 4th,
Ms. Navleen Kumar, who worked for the land rights of adivasis/tribals in Nallasopara, outskirts of Mumbai was stabbed to death on the terrace of her flat. She had been fighting against “builders and land mafia” who had been usurping tribal land by terror, force and fraud over the last 20-25 years, to restore the land rights to the tribals – the original owners. On the 19th of June 2002, she was stabbed 19 times.

Are mobile phones a health hazard?

Could mobile phones be giving us brain cancer? Academic and toxicologist Devra Davis, who was in the group that won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, says yes.

According to Davis, an eminent American scientist and one of the country's leading epidemiologists, the mobile phone industry spent years trying to bury scientific evidence -- that it harms -- to protect its $3 trillion, 4.6 billion-customer global business.

With mobile phone use soaring, especially among the young, Davis says a "global public health catastrophe" will be seen in as little as three years if the problem is ignored, the Daily Mail reported.

The most troubling research, she says, threatens male fertility. Research in seven countries, including the US, China and Australia, suggests that keeping a switched-on mobile phone in a trouser pocket can have a drastic effect on sperm count.

"All the research shows the same thing - if you take young men who are trying to become fathers, those who use mobile phones at least four hours a day have about half the sperm count of others," Davis says.

"Sperm exposed to mobile phone radiation in the lab is sicker, thinner and less capable of swimming," she adds.

Mobile phones are low-powered radio frequency transmitters which produce microwave radiation.

In a new book provocatively titled "Disconnect: The Truth About Cell Phone Radiation, What The Industry Has Done To Hide It And How To Protect Your Family," Davis says the threat from mobile phone radiation has been underplayed for too long.

"Is it possible that the pervasive use of mobile phones is causing a host of subtle, chronic health problems, damaging our ability to have healthy children and creating long-term risks to our brains and bodies," she asks.

Her work includes supporting research from studies in the US, Sweden, Greece, France and Russia.

For example, a team at the University Of Washington found that just two hours of mobile phone-level radiation splintered the DNA of brain cells in rats, making them similar to cells found in malignant tumours.

Davis, who is a grandmother, is worried about the effect on children, arguing that their thin, pliant skulls make them more vulnerable.

'Guzaarish' is intriguing?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming flick starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has a unique story that will indeed create a huge amount of interest among the audience. The movie is titled 'Guzaarish'. There is already a buzz in the industry about the movie's story. Hrithik Roshan will be playing a magician, which is a remake of Christopher Nolan's 'Prestige'. Hrithik is a parapalegic and Aishwarya Rai his nurse. The movie delves into the most controversial topic of euthanasia that has been undergoing a big debate all over the world for decades. According to our sources, Hrithik plays Ethan, a radio show host, while Aishwarya plays a married nurse who is also Hrithik's caregiver!

Since the film deals with the controversial subject of mercy killing/euthanasia, it has attrac

ted the attention of the entire country. Ash's character has become very interesting because she gets attracted to Hrithik though she is already married. The ballooning budget of the Commonwealth Games makes headlines each day, but it has some top musicians playing at less than half their usual price. The musicians aren't complaining, but rather, are excited to represent their country at the Games. The cultural fest begins on October 1 – two days ahead of the Games. Its inaugural show at the Games Village will see Parikrama opening the fest on day 1, followed by Half Step Down on day 2, ThemClones on day 4, Kailash Kher on day 12 and Indian Ocean on the last day of the fest, October 13.

A source overheard one of the musicians commenting lightheartedly, " Maine socha apni country ke naam pe agar kam paise mein perform karne ko keh rahein hain toh negotiate nahin karna chahiye. We have some responsibility as citizens. But since I got to know of their real budget, I feel I could've made a lot of money!"

Jokes apart, they're all planning to give memorable performances. Shankar Mahadevan says, "We'll do something special, something that'll enhance the spirit of the country and the city." He admits that the price at which they are performing "is not even comparable to how much they charge normally," but adds, "How can we think of charging that much? It's an honour to perform at such a prestigious event." Surojit Dev of ThemClones agrees, "Yes, we are performing at a rebate. Had it been only us, we might have had some regrets, but this discounting is done by all those who are performing. Anyway, playing at the Games is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." Indian Ocean too, decided to perform at a token amount. "And whether the people in power are doing their job or not is not our concern; our focus is on supporting our country and the city in whatever way we can," states Dhruv Jagasia, manager, Indian Ocean.

Performing at the Games will also mean international exposure, which is also why the moolah matter's turned secondary. " Rock n' roll bands have a niche market; we don't perform for such a wide audience usually, so playing for this event is an international platform for us, hence it's a great opportunity," explains Dhawal Mudgal of Half Step Down. But there are a few more apprehensions like that of security. Kailash Kher, who was worried earlier, sounded positive when we spoke to him. "In terms of security, Delhi, I think, is the safest, so I'm all excited and looking forward to it," he told us.
A source close to the cultural committee reveals that earlier, there were four-five festivals planned, but were later reduced to two. While Kunal Ganjawala said he's yet to give his final nod, Alka Yagnik's spokesperson confirmed her presence. When DT spoke to Subir Malik, manager and keyboardist, Parikrama, he neither denied nor confirmed the band's performance for the event. Others expected to perform are Hariharan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Sonu Niigaam Ji, Himesh Reshammiya, Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh.

However, all are not happy with the fee compromise. Rudy Wallang of Soulmate, which is performing on October 7, says, "Yes, we were told that all have brought down their fees. And we do look at the positive side, which is that we're getting to perform at such an event. Considering the amount the not-so-deserving are earning out of this, it's not about regrets, it's just that there should be a little more respect for the musicians. And in this case, we could have been paid just the amount we usually charge, if not extra." There's some 'wealth' loss 'common' to all these musicians, yet they aren't playing spoilsport, what say??

In an exclusive interview with Srikanth RP from InformationWeek, Singhal explains why India will drive the mobile search market, how Google is innovating to match the information needs of tomorrow, and how tomorrow’s search engine will serve you information proactively even before you ask it.

What would be your definition of the ideal search engine? Is Google an ideal search engine?
An ideal search engine must give me the information that I want instantly. While we are ahead of our competitors, we still have a lot to achieve since whenever we come close to becoming an ideal search engine, the goal post moves. Every time we tweak our algorithm, the expectations of people go beyond what is expected. This is what pushes us and motivates us to constantly keep on tweaking our algorithms to improve our search results. While the algorithms are built by us, the intelligence comes from the hundreds of millions of searches that occur every day.

Press reports say that Google ran close to 6000 experiments last year tweaking mathematical formulas and algorithms. Can you describe some of the innovative stuff that you have done that you think has translated into huge customer satisfaction?
Experiments are the key for unleashing tiny waves of innovation. As information needs are becoming more complex, we learn a lot from every query that is entered into Google. Whenever we get a query that has not matched expectations, we sit and analyze on what has gone wrong. For instance, we observe how people change words or use combinations of words in their queries. This has helped us improve the efficiency of our search. For example, the word ‘GM’ could mean General Motors or Genetically Modified. If I search for GM cars, I should only get documents related to General Motors cars and not documents that are related to food. The trick is in identifying the context. We have also learnt immensely from local examples. We also allow our people to build their craziest ideas, which help us stay ahead of the curve.

What will tomorrow’s search engine look like?
Tomorrow, I want my search engine to serve me my queries even before I ask for it. This is possible because even today, my mobile phone has my personal information such as say, a to-do list, my meetings and my location. When you combine this information and use this in conjunction with say, Google Maps, you can intelligently serve information to the end user. For example, imagine that I have to buy a new cricket bat for my son, and I have say, half an hour left before my next meeting. The mobile phone knows that I have to buy a cricket bat by using the information from my to-do list. It also has information on my meetings from my schedule. It only needs my location and local area information. So the moment, I am in a particular area at a particular time, the search engine can using information ping me a message saying that a local shop which is close to the location that I am in has a nice cricket bat. This will be of course driven by keeping in mind user privacy concerns, and the level of control that users want.

Your view on the future of mobile search, and what does it represent for India?

Mobile phones clearly outnumber the number of PCs and represent the future of search. Today’s smartphones are capable of delivering search using a number of modes including voice, location or sight. I believe that India is uniquely poised to lead the world in mobile search. This is primarily because of a unique combination of some major trends that are playing out in the Indian market. India is one of the fastest growing markets in terms of mobile phone subscriber base. With the advent of 3G, and a proliferation of large screen devices, the mobile phone can become the preferred device for accessing the Internet. Finally, the price at which the Internet can be accessed is coming down in India. This unique combination will enable India to lead the mobile search market.

Our past experience shows that we can take one product from one country and take it to other markets. For example, our Indian team delivered Google Mapmaker, a tool that allows users to add their own landmarks to Google Maps. This innovative idea was born in India, and now has been taken to the rest of the world. This tool is now available in more than hundred countries.

You have said that search is still an unsolved problem and we're committed to making it faster and easier for people to access a greater diversity of information. For example, in a blog post, you have described capturing a snippet of audio and have the search engine identify and analyze it. How close are we to this idea today?
We are very close. Today, Google voice search is going at a fast pace. Technically, we can provide the technology which will enable users to input a audio or video snippet, and have the search engine identify it. While we have not provided this to users, as this is not a big need, we can make it happen. For example, whenever any user uploads a video in Youtube, we have the capability to automatically analyze the video and audio content and match it with legitimate sources. This helps us weed out content which is not copied and posted without permission. We also have the capability to automatically transcribe videos.

After a long time, Google does have some serious competition. What do you think of the competition?
The best thing about the competition is that it our users benefit. We would hate to be in an industry where we are not challenged. Competition is fundamentally good for the industry. For us, the philosophy remains simple – focus on the user and everything else will follow.

Guys Am talking about COKE STUDIO. It is a Pakistani television series featuring live music performances.

The program focuses on a fusion of the diverse musical influences in Pakistan, including eastern classical, folk, and contemporary popular music. The show provides a platform for renowned as well as upcoming and less mainstream artists, from various genres and regions, to collaborate musically in live studio recording sessions.

Season One premiered on June 8, 2008 and included a live audience.

Season Two premiered on June 14, 2009 without a live audience, eliminating the associated background noise and providing a more intimate atmosphere.

Coke Studio has been popular, receiving critical acclaim and frequently being rebroadcast on television and radio in Pakistan.

The officialFacebook site of coke studio have more then 200'000 fans.Video and MP3 files for each song are available for download on the Coke Studio website after each episode airs, along with additional material.

I have amazing amount of love that lives inside of me. I love my family, who are all so supportive and very involved, and always willing to step in and lend a hand. I have people around me that care. Gigantic blessing. I want to believe that through the way I sow such massive amounts of love is the reason it comes back to me in such a way. Going out of your way to make someone's day is just one of many forms of intercession. I hope if not now, then later, people are touched by the joy that my soul spreads into the universe. Sometimes its more than just "being," sometimes you have to be the driver and not just the passenger. I think some of us were meant to go make it happen. That some of us is you.

I was so busy all the month with the fests and all,had no time to write,though had interesting stories, like how we made a band in 7 days, aaaaaaaaaaaaaa How my v close friends r no more close or evn friends, How reality is scary... but M Too Lazy to write.. oh Gawd! SigH! Many good things, many bitter situations, loads of difficulties, loads of happiness, loads of Music, loads of MASTI, live shows, Performances, loads of admirers, good times, a lil bad ones too :), many new friends from different parts of the country with Music in common, That One Nite in Dukhnevaran Sahib, no time for loved ones, many new things i got to know, too many misunderstandings, No Time To Sleep, that Airtel Isinger Call, too many arguments, rude chats, tight schedules, that thandi(cold) chai(tea) etc made this month A Memorable One. With all such ups & downs,mostly ups lol, Today on the last day of MArCh 2010,I thank God for all those beautiful moments ... Hope U ShOwEr more Blessings & love over me in the coming months as well.

"Indian Ocean Goes Reel Life"

For the first time ever in the history of Indian cinema a film on the life of one of the most prominent Indian music bands, Indian Ocean, is releasing in cinemas across the nation. The film is however releasing after the unfortunate death of the legendary vocalist Asheem Chakravarty.

Former adman Jaideep Varma took the initiative to direct this film in 2006 which is titled Leaving Home — The Life and Music of Indian Ocean. Jaideep believes that the film showcases one of India’s greatest musical entities since Independence and he tells their inspiring story of fiercely holding on to their integrity in the current commercial scenario.

He says, “On a personal level, Indian Ocean makes me more proud of being Indian than any other entity,today. It has led me to the surprising realisation that their music shows no signs of dating.”

The lives of the four band members, Sushmit Sen (guitar, vocals), Rahul Ram (bass guitar, vocals), Amit Kilam (drums, other percussions) and Asheem Chakravarty (tabla, other percussions and vocals), is traced through extensive interviews with the band members, their family members and people they have worked with.

Band member Amit Kilam says, “There is a big space that needs to be filled between cinema and contemporary Indian art.

Maybe this film does that effectively.”

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has made a wish. He wants to be the most popular Indian on micro-blogging site Twitter and overtake Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor. Shahrukh who had taken to Twitter ahead of the release of his movie My Name Is Khan has close to 170000 followers compared to that of Tharoor who has more than 660000 followers and has landed in many controversies due to his tweets.

Speaking at NDTV Indian of the Year Awards, Shahrukh said "In few months I am going to overtake Shahi Tharoor (on twitter). I am going for him. He is our god." Tharoor was generous enough to Shahrukh's statement and replied "I had predicted this the day Shahrukh joined twitter. I will be happy rather than regret it," the politician said. Ishqiya-Movie Review by Eshan

Ishq-Yeah....It takes a while for you to settle down with the pace of the movie.High on drama, wild , crazy characters delivers a sparkling performance! The film has a rustic feel.

The debutant director's skillful direction makes the viewer fall in ishq with it.

As guru Vishal Bhardwaj, who loves to swim against the tide and undertake risks in film after film, Abhishek Chaubey has also followed the same path. The movie's not dark, not sleazy.

One of the best aspects of the 'Ishqiya' is its Casting... I just loved every single actor's performance. Each one of the actors seems to have been made for his or her role. Be it Salman Shahid as the don with soft heart but hard exterior or Naseer, who's a pure delight to watch. Adil Hussain as Verma & Master Alok Kumar as Nandu are the other actors that deserve a special mention. Vidya is definitely a superb actress & totally opposite from her role in Paa, she looks sensuous in the movie. After a long time on screen,Arshad Warsi has given a spellbound performance.

Music of the movie is beyond excellence, hats of to Vishal for the hummable tunes & Gulzar sahab for amazing lyrics. The music does not give you any reason to complain, the screenplay is also very good, all the actors get into the skin of the character completely, making the film all the more convincing.

Story could have been better.

All in all i'd like to conclude with-

Watch Ishqiya for its crazy dialogues, zany characters & excellent direction

On the whole, ISHQIYA is definitely worth a watch.

I rate it 2.5/5

I just hope, they don't attempt to make a sequel. It may just spoil the Ishqiya.

I don't feel like writing right now. I'm one of those people that gets a computer in front of him and begins to write about everything with no purpose. I'm kind of bitter today. I hate when I feel like this. I've been making an effort to be around people who bring joy. I want to be surrounded by people who want to focus on goals and the positive aspects of life. I don't need to hear you talking negative about someone and then saying, "I don't like talking about people." Well, you obviously don't mind. This post may be deleted in a few days. Why do things have to be addressed seriously? All you do is joke about everything. So what? Who says that you can't? Who's making the rules? I'm enjoying life. Thats what I'm going to continue to do, and please stop bringing your dark cloud in my vicinity, in my area, near. I want to love everyone, and I do, but people don't make it easy for you to like them all the time. I'm unhappy with a lot of situations lately.

During the course of a day, I am only able to think 'anything', but when I have Folks around, nothing matters. That freedom is something I wish I had in other aspects of my life. Thanks to everyone who helped me in any/every situation of my life..

Our beloved singer, Sonu Nigam, who's given us several classics in recent times including the breath taking 'Kal Ho Na Ho' is in need for some prayers for a speedy recovery.

The noted singer has been hospitalized due to low blood pressure, fatigue and minor slip disc. His publicist gave an official statement to the media speaking about this condition, "Sonu has been advised complete bed rest for the next few days for treatment of low blood pressure, fatigue and minor slip disc. He is also suffering from tennis elbow in both his arms and is currently undergoing treatment for that as well."

Sonu has been leading quite a hectic schedule shuttling between US and India in addition to travels for his show. Now he is highly concerned about scheduled shows in Singapore and Israel and is resting well so that recovery does not get in the way of these shows.

Its been another great year for the acclaimed singer - having worked with international pop icon Kylie Minogue as well as delivering several hits as expected of him including the recent chart-topper 'All Iz Well' from 3 Idiots. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery so all those lucky fans in Singapore and Israel don't miss out on him!

Smiling relieves stress. It's a God's gift to us,which costs nothing but leaves a positive impression on the other person. Have you ever noticed, you are always drawn towards the people who smile, everyone avoids short-tempered, irritating persons & always look forward for friendship with smiling & jolly ones.

A small smile can do wonders for you as well as others,but smiling for show-off could be termed as hypocrisy. A poisoned mind can never present a pristine smile. First you have to purify your mind & thoughts. The art of smiling is the key to happiness & will not only make you more affable but will also purify tour inner-self.

Now-a-days laughing therapy has assumed so much importance. It has been widely accepted as an art of keeping your mind & body healthy. Smiling is the way to go in life. You are not spending anything but achieving the impossible. It is strange but very true. Studies have proved that just pretending to be cheerful, speaking in a happy tone, wearing a great smile and walking confidently can actually trigger joy.

Shantanu Moitra's compositions are always rich in melody, and the soundtrack to 3 Idiots' is no different. Play it and enjoy a little simplicity.

APKGK is a typical bollywood masala movie with a happy ending but to its unfortune,
which dosen't come as a surprise,will be 100% thrashed by all the critics.
Being,one of them,i really feel sorry for the "common man" who spends his/her
hard earned money on these silly pieces of work by the well known directors.
APKGK is a monotonous watch,which gets hilarious at times,lifted in parts by Ranbir's
spontaneity buts ends up being tiresome coz how hard we may ponder,we wonder what's new?????????
There's a girl n there's a boy,the boy doesn't believe in love till he himself faces it
and falls in love with the girl but the girl loves some other 'guy',so the boy helps her get her 'guy'
n in pusuit of this,the girl eventually realizes she's falling for him n then the happy ending....phew!!!
so so untolerable...,Content and i write "content" in double quotes as this is what Ajab....lacks big time.
As for performances,Ranbir's adorable,Katrina's meant to look gorgeous n yup she's made it,rest of the cast also
came well but when there's nothing to do,all the harwork goes into trash.Upen patel in a guest appearance is dumb n he
needs to understand that there's a face and there are expressions as well.Salman in a special apperance is easily one of the best
moments of the film.Ok Camerawork,Ok Cinematography,Good Music but with ambiguos fitting of songs,Nice locales and Good direction is all what can be
said as far as the technical credits and aspects go.I'm going wid a 'strictly' average rating 2/5 for Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab kahani,
if u watch,watch it for the 'SALMAN-KATRINA-RANBIR'moment.

Is it just me or have friendships taken a beating these days? When we were younger,every action and every decision was taken as a collective, a gang of best friends standing by each other through thick & thin, exploring & experimenting together because we had each other for support. We were much more gullible those days & hardly ever stopped to ponder our actions,but we always knew that whether it was the chaotic corridors of school or the loud &robust canteens in college,there was a camaraderie that was constant.

Flash forward twenty years and the foundation of friendship seems like a facade. You can wake up tomorrow and find 7 or 8 new friend requests on Facebook or Orkut;distant friends, friends of friends, and most of the time, random strangers.

You may accept or reject them, but you cant ignore the reality of this very scary social predicament; where did all the 'good friends' go?

Phones replaced letters, and then those long, glorious, chats on the phone were pushed aside for one line e-mails and broken language SMSes. If we dont have the time to take eachother's calls,how will we find the time to bear a shoulder during a Crisis. As we get older we embark on a long period of extreme independence where we realise that we dont really need anyone on a day-to-day basis. Cynicism, stubbornness and often a fear of rejection surges over most of us, and we learn to not expect anything from anyone because inevitably,they will let u down.

Where I come from,I know (and am known to) alot of people, but to identify the true friends amongst the crop is a balancing act I still have to master. So much of self-worth & self-confidence comes from a support structure that you'd like to believe won't tremble, but with all the plastic friendships popping up, you really have to dig deeper & ask yourself who your people are in this world. Where do u find them & how can u ensure that they wont change? Are the oldest friends really the best of friends? Is a good friend someone who can affect u the most, and are u a bad friend if u cause ur friend pain?

We are human & we bleed easy. Our actions might be restrained and our words of love & support may have shortened, but at the end of the day, all we really need is the security of knowning that there will always be someone in ur corner who will run to u & clean u up no matter how severe ur crimes are. I have learnt that friendships cant be evaluated, and people shouldnt put their friends up for trial.

There are no tricks or tips to life long friendships, but know that when you are in the presence of a friend and u feel safe,that they are the keepers & the ones worth fighting for. Mark them, brand them, do whatever you legally can do to them, but dont ever let them go because when u r staring the cold, harsh realities of life in the face, they'll be the UV to ur designer sunglasses, and the fleece to ur coat, and on days like those, when all else seems bleak, they'll be the ones to break ur fall. Pick ur friends wisely, and they will make you wiser. A wise man once told me that....and yes, he was a FRIEND.

BAD LUCK...

Seems like the directors aren’t able to complete their quota of sleep because they’re sleeping on the sets & delivering duds one after another.

First it was “Kambakht Ishq” & now it’s ‘LUCK’.

Luck is an utter piece of shit which by the way is a much thought about word as we are all gentlemen. Luck simply doesn’t have a plot. The only thing in which it surpasses other movies is that it has more number of loopholes.

If we talk about the performances, the debutant Shruti hassan looks hot but fails to deliver. She has not been able to create a single expression on her face in the whole movie. She’s as pale as a snake. Sanju Baba has yet again sleep-walked through his scenes. Chitrashi Sharma was Okay!! The three guys who’ve really delivered are Mithun da, Danny & Ravi Kishen, they justify the word EXPERIENCE. Now talking of Imran Khan, for whom we all are most concerned about as it is just the beginning for him , still I think its high time for him to start thinking about his acting prowess. As far as expressions are concerned , he is as pale as Shruti Hassan, except for the fact that he raises his eyebrow every 2 seconds & I bet you this is accurate.

Let me also mention that Luck is a perfect example of typecasting. In contrast, this is the movie for stereo types. No respite for the movie, as direction is worse than ever seen, though ‘KAAL’ was still filled with loopholes but was atleast better.

All in all, Soham Shah’s this outing was spoiled & the culprit is he,himself. Music is average & doesn’t even try to lift the film, neither do its cinematography, except for the first scene of the film, which looked really appleaing. Luck is a waste of both, time and money. Please donot watch it for your own sake. I m going with ‘ZERO’ out of 5 & 2 thumbs down for Soham Shah’s Luck as it is a troublesome promatizing, ugly piece of trash thrown at the audiences.

HOW U DOINN’?
Hope this post finds u in the best of health and spirits.
Today I m sharing probably the best & most unexpected experience of my life (till date). As I revealed in the earlier post that I’v been selected to sing a song with Master Saleem. Many of u got really excited & that too why not…all that happened, only because of your wishes, love,support & prayers..

How it happened?
I wasn’t a regular user of ibibo until I saw an advertisement on that site..where it was written in bold letters “Sing along with Master Saleem”. I read the whole advertisement. AAhhh ummm...”okay Good concept ..but I never thought it’ll b my cup of tea as there would b many guyz who probably hit the notes better than me..Hostel mein toh saala net bhi dhang se nai chalta..I wont b able 2 even record my song..” were some of the earlier thoughts that resided in the temple.
Just to give a blind try, I called up for an audition, where I had to record a song on karaoke & that too on my cell phone.. Now the problem was, I hate singing on phone…I’ve never sung on fone…people insist so much.. friends request a lot of times but I just hate singing on phone.Then, in the presence of my roommate, I recklessly sang Teri Sajni, pretending that I m singing just like that only & not on phone and unwilling, but submitted my entry.
Suddenly,amidst all this, something struck me & I called up ibibo to record yet another song seriously this time. I went to the top floor so that my song couldn’t be heard by anyone & recorded Soniyo(Krishna’s Version) as my audition.We were allowed to sing these two songs only.
Around 10 days later, i got a mail from ibibo..where they’d mentioned that i ‘ve been shortlisted for the competition, a phone call from their side confirmed it as well; then, there was a full-fledged competition which was completely based on the recordings of songs sung by the shortlisted contestants , the whole competition following a particular format was conducted & after a lot of struggle,they declared three winners.
Everything that happened was like a dream which btw I never dreamt of. I still cant believe what all happened in the past few days.
UNBELIEVABLE XPERIENCE
We went to a very famous studio named Shruti Recording Studio where we had ‘The Meet & Greet Event’ With Master Saleem.
Saleem is an awesome person, he treated us like he’s a winner of some competition & he’s come to meet the three of us, in contrast he was very humble. We chatted for about 2-3 hours, had a healthy conversation. Me, not being a trained singer, he gave me loads n loads of tips regarding how to practice.. etc.. & was teaching me like he’s my guru from ages..he was just so goooooood.
We winners, were so excited that we’ll be recording a song but never knew that the song which was to be recorded is teri sajni then we were just left with a lump in our throats.The song is really tough and singing it in the presence of mighty Saleem made it even more tougher.
To my unending fortune,I recorded the song in just one take …saleem ji was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo impressed as I didn’t falter anywhere.
That’s how it all happened..
Yaa not to forget..I want to thank u Ankita Ma’am..for always being there during this whole journey, since the day of my auditioning.. You supported me just like a family member. I would never had taken this contest seriously if such kinda support wasn’t offered from your side,its only because of your support & encouragement I got through this .. Thank you so much

Well yaa..Here, a few days back i heard a song by Kidrock which inspired me alot like in relation to my own life...The lyrics are just awesome...i think, it relates to my life somehow...
So,i made a slide show (thanks to windows movie maker) & thought of sharing it...
Though it took me 2 hours in just making n publishing it as i was using the software for the first tym but i m now really satisfied with what i made.....

Future Works..

Sir Sonu Niigaam had a Concert in Mauritius last week...

His future projects include an English album called "Spirit Unfolding".

He may be acting in a new film called Ankhon Hi Ankhon Mein, about a blind singer, although he has not officially signed it yet.

He is also doing playback singing for a number of upcoming films, including Chandan Arora's Striker, Yaariyan, Run Mein Fun and Three Idiots starring Aamir Khan, with Shantanu Moitra as music director.

He is also singing for the film Blue with international artist Kylie Minogue with Oscar winner A.R.Rahman as music director.
In a recent interview, he confirmed that he is working on a new Kannada album and is thinking about a project on Manna Dey.

He also revealed that there are plans for the Rafi Resurrected concerts to happen in the rest of Europe, the United States and India soon...

Sonu Niigaam ws nominated for "In lamhon ke daman me" from "Jodha Akbar"...but he did not win, ...well i think & believe..that his "talent" is beyond any award...He's closest to perfection... So I don't think we should be sad, we can congratulate Sukhwinder for his work ....

Rahman’s Golden Globe win and Oscar nominations, singer Sonu Nigam says Shankar Mahaden of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio is the best Indian composer today.“Today the best composer, who sings equally well, is Shankar Mahadevan - his compositions are as beautiful as his singing is,” Sonu said on Zee News’ celebrity chat show “Kahiye Janab”, being aired Saturday.Sonu admits that most people would say Rahman is the best composer and he too appreciates the maestro’s music.“Normally, everyone will say A.R. Rahman is the best. The most remarkable thing about him is that he never overdoes things. His voice is sufiana and he never tries to go beyond that. That is the best part about his style. I would say that the composers who sing well should sing themselves, like some of them do,” opined Sonu.According to the singer, who has lent vocals to hit songs like “Yeh dil deewana” and “Sandese aate hain”, music composers use extremely high scales in songs nowadays.“These days the composers use such high scales; they won’t compose low pitched music. ‘I don’t consider Farhan a singer’
It’s unusual for playback singers to remain in the limelight and steal the show, however for Sonu Nigam; the case is different. Though he proved his singing talent as a playback in the very initial stages when he started in the industry, Sonu Nigam has succeeded in achieving more than just being a playback singer and has brought numerous Indi-pop albums, tried his hand in TV show anchoring and also proved his acting skill in Bollywood movies.
"Nowadays, songs have become just ring tones. Producers and directors ask for ring tones," says the acclaimed singer, Sonu Nigam. Relating his experience as an actor & singer in Bollywood, Sonu Nigam said, "I don’t consider Farhan a singer...and I don't think he does either.”
With much boldness this popular Indian singer gets into a critical topic regarding Pakistani singers. He shares his views on Pakistani singers who have obtained much respect & popularity on the Indian soil. He questions their indifference; "Pakistani singers should thank us at least once because of the respect they get in India".
He further adds onto his thoughts about them and says, "Why do all Pak singers take money for concerts in cash, and do they pay taxes? All the money they get is black money".

Review: Luck By Chance

I watched the movie. It's Ok worth watching Once . But can't relly understand the fact that how these cricits evaluate movies.I read Few reviews and the best and most common funny review by Taran adarsh and to my worst surprise he has given this movie 4 stars(Four Stars ****).No doubt this movie catches the public intrest in First half But slowly intrest seems to be fading away .Story seems to moving towards a single point.Climax of the movie is not worth talking about . The focus and gravity of the scene is spectacular in few scenes .To an extent almost every character in the movie has grey shades.
Best Thing - This movie has Hell lots of special appearances from Abhishek,John,Aamir,shahrukh,Rani,Akshaye khanna,Ranbir, Karan johar etc.
Flaws - The Hero has grey shades and is manipulative,ends up losing the girl, Farhan's acting - He needs to work on his emotional scenes.
Check the outburst scene with his friend isn't so good .Fails to create the energy .
Infact it looks very comic! Farhan is quite good in some scenes,He is good as diretor and i have liked all his movies except Don .,
Hrithik seems to have that enigma to catch public intrest.His screen persence is Excellent.
I'd like to add...."How Vikram(Farhan's character) manages to get to the top and the price the couple pays for it is what forms the climax of the film. I dono many people may have liked this climax but i didn't..

Sanjay kapoor is good and reminded me of Anil Kapoor at the beginning of the movie.

Atlast we have another capable female director in Hindi film industry!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable movie!

Still would Give this movie 2.5 on 5 !

How can he be so close to reality in his words.....
Mohammad Rafi sahab as always gave full justice to the song & S.D. Burman made it so real
& people even say the lyrics are inspired by Guru Dutt's life....(i hav no idea what m writing)...Neways... Read this or listen to the song....it left me teary-eyed.. This song is soooo moving ..it will undoubtedly leave you with a lump in your throat........
